A group of 20 Coventry Building Society employees are trekking a combined 225 miles across the Malverns Hills on the 14 August, to raise money for your local hospitals: University Hospital Coventry and Rugby St Cross.
Covid-19 didn’t stop Coventry Building Society’s Savings Operations team from supporting the Hospitals this past difficult year, as they held virtual fundraisers and the wider business sponsored the famous Penguino Christmas T-shirt. With restrictions eased this will be their first in person team event, with an incredible target of £2000 to go to UHCW Charity.
The Society has already funded two large televisions for Nuclear Medicine’s main waiting areas and has funded the refurbishment of the colourful children’s waiting area with plenty of exciting new toys.
‘Makes the waiting less painful, thank you Coventry Building Society’– Nuclear Medicine Patient
UHCW Charity relies on the continued support of businesses like Coventry Building Society to continue to make things better for staff, patients and their families in our local hospitals.
‘Supporting our local hospital and the wider community is very important to us as a team. Raising money through lockdown has not been easy and we hope that by doing this walk we can show our support for the hospitals’ staff and help to provide the equipment that is needed for patients. I want to thank everyone that has sponsored us for this event, the team and I are very much looking forward to it’ – Amber Hanselman, Coventry Building Society Community Champion.
