Recently, our Children’s Ward received an extremely generous donation of toys and vouchers from the parents of Shay Stothard, who was diagnosed with cancer at just 16 months old and has been treated here at UHCW. Corrine and Lewis held a fundraiser called ‘A Day for Shay’, where they raised a fantastic amount of money, with the help of local businesses; One Fit Mama, One Wellness and Stepping Stones Nursery. Their gifts to the ward included toys, iPads and M&S vouchers, to help out struggling parents when their child is in hospital for a significant period of time. Thank you so much for your amazing donations and for helping to bring a little bit of joy to those who need it.
