Jolly Jingle Jog

Lace up your trainers and get ready to feel festive with our Jolly Jingle Jog! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or you prefer a more gentle stroll, there’s no better way to get in Santa’s good books than running/jogging/walking our 5km route at Draycote Water on the 8th December!

With every step you take, you’ll be raising funds to make things better for our patients who will be staying with us over the Christmas period.

The first 50 Adult entries will receive a free Santa suit, and every adult runner will receive a medal and a red Penguino Christmas T-Shirt!

We suggest a minimum sponsorship of £70 per person, £120 per family. Here are some examples of the difference you can make to our patients this Christmas:

£15 would fund a face painting kit for the Children’s ward

£70 would fund two specialist dolls for our Dementia patients

£100 would go towards refreshments for a Christmas Party on the Cancer Ward. For many patients on this ward, this may be their last Christmas.

Your donations will make things better for our patients this Christmas.

FAQ’s

The route is a flat, well marked 5km, so please follow all signs! The event will not be chip timed, but feel free to set your watches and aim for a festive PB

Adult entry fee includes a red UHCW Christmas Charity T-Shirt, a medal and the first 50 entries will receive a Santa Suit (one size fits all!)

Children’s entry fee will include a Santa hat, medal and a small gift. Children are welcome to attend the Jolly Jingle Jog, but they will need to be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. Please be aware the course goes around a body of water

Festive fancy dress is highly encouraged, but please wear suitable warm clothing and footwear to make sure you’re comfortable for the course

Parking on site is available, but will need to be paid for.

There are toilets at the Visitor Hub, as well as a cafe for a post jog hot chocolate.

The Jolly Jingle Jog is open to all ages, but please ensure you’re fit and healthy before you take on the course. First Aid will be on site, so please let a steward know asap if you feel unwell

Unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed around the reservoir at Draycote Water, so please leave your pooches at home
